Its roots are collected, cut into pieces, dried well, and available as raw material. It is being used by our people since ancient days.

It is called as Wild Turmeric in English, Jangli Haldi in Hindi, Kadarasina in Kannada, Kasturi Pasupa or Adavipasupu in Telugu, Kattu Manjal in Malayalam. Its Botanical Name is Curcuma Aromatica.
