Karuvelam Pisin or Mesquite Gum is the natural stem extract from Karuvelam Tree. The stem resin of the plant stem, coming out naturally are dried out, collected carefully, cleaned, and ground into very fine powder. It is being used by our people since thousands of years ago.

It is called as Mesquite in English, Babul in Hindi, Nallatumma, Tumma, Tuma in Telugu, Karivelam in Malayalam, Gobli Mara, Karijali in Kannada, Bavaliyo in Gujarathi. Its Botanical Name is Prosophis Juliflora.
