Vaal Milagu or Tailed Pepper is the fruit of a Pepper family plant grows mostly in Java, Sumatra Islands. Usually the young fruits of this climber plant is collected, dried well and used as a masala ingredient and other various purposes. It is being used by our people since ancient days.

It is called as Tailed Pepper in English, Valmilaka in Malyalam, Gandha Menasu in Kannada, Kabab Chini in Hindi, and Toka Miriyalu in Telugu. Its Botanical name is Cubaba Officinalis.
